Potential Energy

Potential Energy is a technical and social organization. Potential Energy staff must complete a course of instruction and get certified before they can assist others.
Potential Energy is administered by Ms. La Rue, an instructor at Elgin High School.
Student - Powered Technology Help

Each student enrolls in an eLearning Course designed to give students the information necessary to assist others in the use of computers. Both hardware and software components are discussed. A series of quizzes provide feedback for the student to access their comprehension of the material covered. A student takes a final examination for certification.
Education

Potential Energy is a course which provides student - powered technology help for computer users. In today's rapidly changing world, it is mandatory that we maintain our computer skills. One effective and enjoyable way to accomplish this goal is the educational program offered by the Potential Energy program. Participants can exchange ideas, share experiences and learn from experts. The instruction is an online independent course of instruction. Students certified by the Potential Energy program make the commitment to invest in their professional development.
Meetings

Students have received certification and other students are still persuing their certification. Meetings and other details of the program will be posted here as they become available.
The Potential Energy Certification can lead to Opportunity

Potential Energy Certification could be your ticket to a job opportunity at a large University working for housing and helping other students with their computer needs.
